今天，我们就将揭幕第二部电子书的各路IB学霸作者，通过采访看看他们在完成IB EE和TOK Essay的过程中，遇到了哪些问题、有怎么样的体会。

 Jasmine —— 范德堡大学 

从IB第一年的第二个学期开始准备EE（Biology EE），最耗时间的是明确设计和执行实验的部分，因为它涉及大量且不断增加的修改和完善。

The second semester of our first year of IB. I did a Biology EE and the process that took the longest was definitely designing and executing the experiment since it involved a lot of trial-and-error to perfect it.

 Tiffany —— 杜克大学 

在11年级的第二学期选择了English A EE的书，到暑假结束的时候读完，一月份的时候真正地开始安排结构和写作，二月份有了初稿，到三月初完成了最后一稿。我并没有花太多的时间来制定初稿，而是花了更多的时间在顾问的帮助下来修改草稿。

I chose my English A EE book second semester junior year and finished reading it for the first time during the summer break after. I started actually researching, structuring and writing around January, produced a first draft in February and the final draft at the start of March. I did not take too long to formulate the first draft but spent significant time editing the drafts that followed with help from my advisor.

 Adrian —— 剑桥大学

我从五月底六月初开始进行在线研究和检索，最耗时的部分是把研究不断地缩小成论文最终的观点。过程中最耗时的部分是把研究内容缩小成最终观点，再逐渐发展成论文。

I started doing online research on many relevant areas of mathematics in late May/early June. The longest part of the process was narrowing this research down to the final idea that would evolve into the essay.

 Christine —— 西北大学

确定主题的过程大概花了一到两周的时间，主题的选择基于我自己感兴趣，且容易提出文章的初始结构。

After probably one or two weeks, I ended up choosing the prompt about value of knowledge and difficulty of production because 1) I was interested in the topic 2) I could most easily come up with an initial structure of what the essay would look like with this prompt.

 Kyra —— 剑桥大学

我用一天的时间计划和列举出几篇TOK Essay，然后从中选出一篇最有把握能写好的，之后完成TOK essay的写作花了我一周的时间。

I planned out a few TOK essays in a day and chose the topic I thought I would be able to write the best essay for. My TOK essay took me a week to write.

 Rachel —— 剑桥大学

我一开始选了另一个主题然后开始写作，后来被我的老师要求更换主题，因为之前的文章不合他的胃口。所以我几乎是在deadline之前的两天重新写完的，非常的匆忙。

I originally chose a different question, wrote the essay on it, and was asked by my TOK teacher to change topic because the essay was not to his liking. Essentially, I rewrote the whole thing in 2 days before the deadline as a result, so my experience was quite rushed.

 Andrew —— 剑桥大学 

最大的相似和区别不是体现在它们的内容上，而是在写作风格上– 保持有效又令人印象深刻的写作风格很重要。

Not in content but it is important to maintain an effective writing style.

 Christine —— 西北大学 

EE和TOK Essay最大的不同是写作EE花费了大量的时间和精力投入研究，而TOK Essay则要花更多的时间来理解文章的逻辑和想表达观点的顺序。写作风格上，EE要求更多明确的专业术语和结构。

The biggest difference was obviously that writing the EE took a significantly greater amount of time and effort put into research. With the TOK essay, more time was spent figuring out the logic of my essay and the order in which I wanted to present my sub points. In terms of writing style, my EE was basically a literature review, which required more specific terminology and structures.

 Karen —— 多伦多大学 

对于我而言，TOK essay 比EE要更加辛苦，而且写的时候必须要逐字逐句的想，每一句话都需要仔细斟酌。EE的话可以把所有实验细节和数据分析都写上去，然后第二稿慢慢地删。

 Kyra —— 剑桥大学 

对于完成EE和TOK Essay，我想分享的tips是：时刻记住评分标准，确保每一项都满足。

For both, keep the scoring rubrics in mind at all times and make sure you satisfy every single one - it’s the easiest way to do well for both essays.

 Adrian —— 剑桥大学 

建议大家尽早的开始，选择自己真正喜欢的主题去研究，以便在完成一篇很好的论文的同时还能体会到写作的乐趣。

I would suggest starting early and picking a topic you really enjoy, in order to allow for you to develop a well thought out piece of work, while having taken a lot of pleasure in writing it.

 Jemima —— 剑桥大学 

我想分享的tips是：选择自己真正感兴趣的题目并倾注大量时间去完成它。

Choose an essay title that you actually are interested in and will be able to devote a large amount of time to.
